Life Lines, Limerick Figure Drawing Society Exhibition. 3rd to 13th December, 2015.

The Life Lines exhibition is currently running at Central Buildings Gallery located at 51 O'Connell Street, Limerick and continues until Sunday 13th December, 2015.  The exhibition was opened by Una McCarthy, Director of Limerick City Gallery on the 3rd December, 2015.

The exhibition shows works from the weekly sessions of the Limerick Figure Drawing Society, where we draw the nude model.  A variety of styles and materials used by the members, charcoal, pencil, ink, watercolour and oils, all feature in the exhibition. I joined this group in September 2015, although I had attended in previous years on a casual basis. Three works of mine are on show, along with the work of thirteen other artists.

This small drawing of mine is titled 'Envelop'

Limerick Leader Newspaper The Arts Interview: Nuala O'Sullivan

An interview about my work and practice appeared in the Limerick Leader Newspaper of the 11th of October, 2015.  John Rainsford, from the newspaper, sent me a list of questions to consider and complete.  I found it an interesting exercise and a reason to pause and reflect about my practice and processes and to think about how I wanted to write about them.  The interview is available on line at the following link.

'One Summer… after the Rain' at Galway University Hospital

'One Summer… after the Rain' is the title of my exhibition at Galway University Hospital that runs from July to September 2015.  The work is situated in the main foyer of the hospital and also along the hospital's Arts Corridor.
It is wonderful to have an opportunity to show some of my larger work in this venue and given Galway's seaside location I choose to include some works of people beside the water to exhibit here.  One particularly large piece, 'Gaze' which is 2.1 meters by 1.8 meters is located just inside the entrance.
