Personal Selection: Twenty Artists from the Limerick School of Art and Design until the 25th April, 2014 at the Church Gallery, LSAD, Clare Street, Limerick.

This exhibition is now up and running!

The background to the exhibition is that it was initiated by Mike Fitzpatrick, Head of Limerick School of Art and Design, who chose John Shinnors to personally select artists for inclusion in a spring show in the Church Gallery at LSAD.  Having chosen the artists to include John Shinnors then passed the personal choice to the artists to decide which works they wished to include.  All the artists, including myself, have an association with the college, all bar one having studied there.

As a recent graduates from the college, I was delighted to have my work included here. Much of the work in the show is painting and drawing, interspersed with sculptural pieces, and is a showcase for the work of the college over the years in this Limerick’s City of Culture year 2014.

My paintings on display in the gallery.

A review of the exhibition written by Aidan Dunne, outlining the back story to the show and describing the work, appeared in the Irish Times on Saturday.  This is the connecting link...
